Tire Tag is an innovative vehicle immobilization device that adds a “softer” category to the industry. Violators can pay and release their own vehicles with a code and drop the device into a dropbox (ore incur a fee for the device).
Idea: A softer approach to parking immobilization devices, using a high grade combination lock and chain and a system that allows vehicle owners to pay via an app and drop off the chain into a dropbox for time savings and conflict reduction with staff.
Problems to Solve: This was an end-to-end new product. They wanted to solve the high risk encounters between offenders and vehicle owners as well as make the process of getting your vehicle mobile quicker and easier. We had to ensure the process ensure drop off compliance and ease of use.
Research Methods Used: Discovery meetings with client, whiteboard, goal setting and milestones. Went on to user interviews at conferences, surveys, journey mapping, personas, site mapping and a/b testing of prototype followed by a beta/soft launch with select partners. Key Outcomes: Product was launched in 5 cities.
