The US Senate required a parking application that suited their very unique situation. We built them a complex stacked parking system with attendant and call buttons, with 6 varieties of lots with different functions, gates, and times.
They also needed a system that could be purged every 4 years and reset to accommodate the Senate change over.
Idea: The US senate wanted to modernize their parking management system.
Problems to Solve: The lots were complex with rolling 4 year periods where the entire pass and lot system was reset as well as many different lot types including: stacked lots with attendants and call buttons, 3 types of visitor parking, valet parking, etc. They also had strict security needs.
Research Methods Used: Visit of the facility to better understand the layout, complexities and needs which lead to white boarding with a focus group of their staff. Extensive interviews to ensure we covered all their needs and reviews of personas and journeys. Low fidelity wireframes of both a mobile app and web app.
Key Outcomes: Project was paused due to COVID-19 and I left the team prior to the continuation of he project.
